Sonic Live in Sydney was a 25-minute live musical stage show performed daily at Sega World Sydney.
It used some elements from both the Sonic the Hedgehog television show and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and was performed by costumed actors and dancers. Most of the music and sound effects used in the show were taken from Masato Nakamura's score on Sonic The Hedgehog 2, with three unique musical numbers; Sonic's "What Are We Waiting For", Dr. Robotnik's "Give Me Chaos", and "Thank You For Being You", sung by Sally Acorn.
The show was performed on a stage located adjacent to Sega World's Knothole Village food court. In late 1997, Sega disbanded the show because they felt it wasn't dynamic enough and replaced it with a Sonic-themed puppet show.
- Robotnik refers to Sally as a "merry marsupial", even though squirrels are not actual marsupials.
- A CD soundtrack containing the show's songs was sold at Sega World.
